Who is responsible
Make & Metric is a trading name used by Amaan Arshed, an independent digital services provider based in Sri Lanka. Amaan Arshed is the person responsible for personal information collected through this website. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to amaan@makeandmetric.space.
What is collected
The enquiry form collects your name, email address, business and current website or Instagram, the service you are interested in, and the outcome you want to make easier for your customer. The site and its infrastructure may also process limited technical and security information, including IP address, browser, device, request time and server logs.
Why it is used
Information you submit is used to assess and reply to your enquiry, take steps you request before a possible project agreement, prepare a proposal and, if you become a client, deliver and administer the agreed work. Technical information is used to operate, protect and troubleshoot the site. Enquiry details are not added to a marketing list unless you separately choose to receive marketing in the future.
Required and optional information
Name, email, service and project-goal fields are required so the enquiry can be understood and answered. Business, website or Instagram details are optional but help provide context. If required information is not supplied, the form cannot be submitted. Do not provide passwords, payment-card details, health information or other sensitive personal information.
Storage, notifications and service providers
Enquiries are stored in the website’s protected database and a notification is sent to Amaan at the Make & Metric business email address. Hosting, database, security and transactional-email providers process information only to operate these functions. These providers may process information in countries outside Sri Lanka under their contractual and security arrangements. Information is not sold.
Retention
An enquiry that does not become a client project is normally deleted or anonymised within 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless it must be kept longer to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation. If an enquiry becomes a client engagement, relevant communications and project records are retained for the duration of the engagement and afterwards only as reasonably necessary for contractual, accounting, tax or legal obligations. Anti-spam records use a one-way hash, become eligible for deletion after 24 hours and are removed during subsequent form activity.
Sharing and external links
Information may be shared with service providers working under instructions, professional advisers where necessary, or public authorities when legally required. Instagram and other external links are governed by those providers’ own privacy practices. Make & Metric does not control their processing.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether your personal information is held, request access or correction, object to or restrict certain processing, or request deletion. You may also raise a concern with the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka. To make a request, email amaan@makeandmetric.space. Reasonable identity verification may be required before acting on a request.
Security and changes
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No internet service can promise absolute security. This notice may be updated when the site, providers or legal requirements change; the latest version will remain available on this page.
